Daylight Saving Time Ends Sunday!

CLAS Daylight Saving Time Reminder image

Remember to set your clocks back.

Most of the United States will be setting their clocks back on Sunday, November 2, this year.

Which states/territories/etc. observe Daylight Saving Time?

Some parts of the U.S. and its territories do not observe Daylight Saving Time. These exceptions include: American Samoa, Arizona, the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. However, the Navajo Nation DOES observe Daylight Savings Time, even in Arizona. This is due to its large size and the fact that it is located in three states.

When does the time officially change?

Clocks officially "fall back" one hour, going from 1:59 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Smoke Detectors - Remember to Change the Batteries

Many fire departments encourage you to change the batteries in your home's smoke detectors when you change your clocks, as a convenient way to keep track.
